Regardless of the reason for crossing the sea, the sea has always been there for people as one

opportunity to create a better life, then and now. Depicts a real event about the fishermen in Gilleleje, Denmark  who smuggled thousands of Jewish refugees across the sea to Sweden, away from the Nazis during World War 2. The stories of the fishermen and the refugees evoke thoughts about courage, morals and values.
