Winning proposals for roundabout i Faxe, Denmark – November 2016.
Our proposal is called Sub Mari – Under the Sea, and we have been inspired the magical and secretive atmosphere of Faxe Limestone Break, which millions of years ago was a coral reef below the sea.
Sub Mari is a large sculpture that, like a coral reef, is created by copies of itself. The individual parts are shaped like faceted gems and reflect the human ability to produce and transform nature’s materials to something exceptional.
The timetable for the realization of the work has not yet been established.
